Summer vacation is almost over. We haven't done too much lately. We went to Letchworth State Park again. I like to go there because Daddy carries me everywhere. We saw the falls again. Mommy took me to the Genesee Country Village again. This time it was for Katie's last day of Summer Samplers. Aunt Melissa brought Lance and Brennen and Grammy and Bompa came. We went to the Nature Center while we were there and Mommy let me play in the grass.

I am getting really good at standing up by myself although I am trying to do it without holding on.

This weekend it labor Day weekend and we are going to see a fireworks show and it is Cousin Maddy's first birthday.

Vacation

Well the last two weeks have been really busy. My crawling has gotten better but I have decided that I would prefer to walk so I have figured out how to stand and if I have my way I will soon be walking.

Mommy and Daddy took me to the Genesee Country Village on the 9th because it was Laura Ingalls Wilder Day and cousins Katie, Timmy and Maddy were going to go. Grammy made me a 19th Century dress with pantaloons. I also wore my hat that Grammy and Bompa bought me when they went to Amish country in PA last year. I was really cute. There was a lot to do. Katie and Timmy made ice cream and Maddy and I got reacquainted. There a lot of animals to see.

The next day we drove to Keuka Lake to meet Pop and Grandma Hansen for vacation. We had a good time. I swam with Daddy lot and got to sit by the lake with Grandma and Pop.

Daddy was teaching me to splash. I really like this. I got Daddy and me all wet.

It was fun but very tiring.

Our last day there we went to Watkins Glen State Park and hiked up the gorge. Dad carried me the whole way. We saw a lot of water falls and even walked behind a few. It was a fun day. I am really liking summer.

New things

I have started to do new things. I started to crawl last week. While I'm not very fast yet or graceful, I can now get from here to there.

I can also go from crawling to sitting up right all by myself. These are all new and exciting what I really want to do is to stand up and walk.

Dad continues to take me swimming and I am really starting to like it. Next week we go to Keuka Lake and I hope to swim everyday.

This week we went to the Seneca Park Zoo. There were lots of animals but they wouldn't come to see us. I did like the Arctic Wolf and the Orangutan.

We also went to see grammy and bompa they have a new puppy, Shadow, he is very cute but I don't like that he keeps liking me.

We went to Letchworth Park to do a hike Daddy carried me everywhere. While we were there we went to see the grave of Mary Jemison. I saw two waterfalls and a train going over one of the falls. There was lots of water. Daddy got really tired carrying me.

Yesterday Mommy and Daddy took me the dr. because they thought that I had an ear infection but the dr. said that I was ok and that it was probably teething. But I keep getting bigger they weighted me at the appointment and I now weight 16 pounds and 6 ounces.
